Charles Raith is the Associate Director of Architecture and Historic Preservation. He manages JMA's Louisville office and has particular responsibility for sustainable design initiatives. Mr. Raith is a registered architect in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, Illinois, Missouri, Georgia, Louisiana, South Carolina, Connecticut, Delaware, and New Jersey, and has thirty years of professional experience including extensive public service in historic preservation, design and project management in the private sector for the rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of structures, and planning for historic neighborhoods and college campuses. Key projects have included the Kentucky Military History Museum, Frankfort KY; consultation for the Van Meter Hall renovation at Western Kentucky University; design of mixed use housing and retail at Cathedral Commons and the restoration of the Howard-Hardy House, Louisville KY; rehabilitation of the Woodrow Wilson Family Home, Columbia SC; and campus heritage plans for The Ohio State University and the University of Cincinati.
