JMA was retained to develop a comprehensive historic structures maintenance plan for 62 buildings located within the Governors Island National Historic District. Historic properties on the island are often the site for important diplomatic events (Photo: U.S. Coast Guard).     Wycombe Railroad Station Restoration Bucks County, Pennsylvania Buckingham Township This station is being restored by the township using Federal Highway Administration funding and an ISTEA grant requiring compliance with Section 106 and the Secretary of the Interior's Standards. JMA conducted extensive site-specific research to identify historic drawings, photographs, and documentary sources that guided our preparation of construction documents.   In 1986, the name of the station was changed from Walton to Wycombe, a common name in Buckinghamshire, England (Photo: Mary Ann Sircely collection).     Fort Belvoir Open-End Contracts Fairfax County, Virginia Pacuilli Simmons & Associates, Inc. and the U.S. Army Garrison, Fort Belvoir JMA has completed approximately thirty preservation tasks under three indefinite delivery contracts. Work has included cultural resources support, condition assessments, feasibility studies, rehabilitation design, construction documents, Section 106 reviews, archeology, architectural surveys, landscape architecture, and a maintenance plan for all buildings in the historic district.   Fort Belvoir headquarters building as seen from the parade ground (Photo: JMA).     Historic Building Survey and Preservation Management Plan Ohio State University, Columbus Ohio Ohio State University The Ohio State University has a rich sense of place with a variety of historic architecture and landscape features. Supported by a Getty Campus Heritage Grant, JMA developed a comprehensive preservation management program including National Register assessments and preservation audits, standards and specifications for maintenance and repairs, and staff training.   Mid-1930s view of the Oval; Orton Hall Tower on right (Photo: Ohio State University Archives).     Cathedral Commons Louisville, Kentucky Cathedral Commons Ltd. JMA is providing architectural and development services for the design and construction of a new four-story mixed-use residential and commercial building, and for the restoration and adaptive reuse of the 1830 Howard-Hardy House. Shalom Baranes Associates, PC and the American Red Cross JMA is providing architectural conservation services for the interior and exterior renovation of the American Red Cross National Headquarters and Museum Building. Work includes the preparation of construction documents and construction observation relating to marble cleaning and the conservation of interior and exterior marble and wood features.   Conservators from JMA performed a survey of the Tennessee gray marble interior (Photo: JMA).     Mumma Farmstead Rehabilitation Antietam National Battlefield, Maryland National Park Service, Denver Service Center The Mumma House and Barn occupied a central location during the 1862 Battle of Antietam. The exterior of the farmhouse was restored to its appearance on the eve of the Civil War battle, and the interior adaptively reused to provide educational space for tour groups and park staff offices.
